Vocaloid is a series of vocal synthesizers originally produced by Yamaha (Holy fauci I swear this company is in every industry) and published by Crypton Future Media.

Vocaloids

Hatsune Miku

Hatsune Miku is the most popular Vocaloid. Whenever a nuvocacaca mentions Vocaloid, they're probably thinking of Miku. She's 16, making her around the age of the average Sharty user before the Cacacaust. The V6 version of her voicebank uses AI which makes it sound more realistic at the expense of the unique sound the older versions had.

A short animation of Miku bopping back and forth while staring smugly at the viewer. The animation became well known to soyteens after being featured on 4chan's /qa/ during the Great Cuckset, where S0I1337 added 3 of the dancing Mikus to the board.

Due to being one of the faces of the Cuckset, there was an influx of 'tosses potraying Miku in a positive light.

Rin and Len

Rin and Len are a pair of characters which are made to complement each other, hence why they're often used together, and why they look so similar. Crypton didn't indicate whether they're meant to be siblings or a couple, which has lead to fans with different unofficial canons shitflinging which one is 'correct' _(geg).

Utauloids & Others

A UTAUloid is a voice bank for UTAU, a free alternative to Vocaloid. An open source reimplementation is available called OpenUTAU.

Kasane Teto

Kasane Teto is copycat character originally made as a joke by some Japs on 2ch. She became so popular that Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. decided to create a new version of Teto based on the same samples as the original. The company also created a text-to-speech version for VOICEPEAK Both of these use AI.

A common misconception within the vocal synthesizer community is the belief that Kasane Teto is a Vocaloid. Allthough she is a voice bank with a corresponding mascot, she is instead for the UTAU or Synth V programs (depending on the version of her voice bank) instead of Vocaloid.

Adachi Rei

Adachi Rei is a UTAUloid whose source samples were created using Audacity instead of being sourced from a real person's voice. Because of this, she has a uniquely robotic voice.

A literal who tranny caca had an account where xe LARPed as Adachi Rei. Xe got permabanned for posting a pro-lolicon 'toss.

Akita Neru

Akita Neru is a clone of Hatsune Miku with a yellow color scheme and an off-center ponytail instead of the pig-tails of Miku. She is also addicted to her cellphone to the point of being socially isolated (like most Vocaloid fans and Soyteens)

Nowadays she's only used in fan art and animations of Mesmerizer where she's the heckin' evil 3rd character that's going to rape and kill Miku and Teto or however the trope is overused.

Project DIVA

Project DIVA (Full name: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva is a series of rhythm games where symbols fly from all directions. You have to press the corresponding button when its symbol reaches the receptor. The PS3 versions have high quality environments and models that the developers scrapped in favor of a generic style which looks like every 3D tranime game ever. The game also has some extra minigames as well as character customization.

Project Sekai

Project Sekai (Full name: Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat. Hatsune Miku) is a rhythm game for mobile devices where you tap notes when they hit the receptor (a bar near the bottom of the screen). There are also long notes which you have to hold until the end of the note hits the receptor, and flick notes which require you to flick in the direction the arrows are facing. The game also has a story and heckin' lorerinos that troons probably obsess over. It's the same tranny shit as Osu!. _{<- ev&doe they're completely different games}

The game has attracted a lot of confused newfags to Vocaloid who believe that every canonical event in the game applies to every piece of media with a Vocaloid in it.

Vocaloid Fanbase

The Vocaloid fandom is best known for being absolutely horrendous to be around. It's filled with troons shipping (mostly Miku and Teto) characters together, retards who played Project Sekai and act like they know shit about actual Vocaloid songs and larpers who don't listen to the songs but find the characters heckin' affirmative. It is almost impossible to find a community of people who actually listen to Vocaloid nowadays, (especially if they aren't trannies) as it's just filled with Teto pear larpers.

The only redeeming quality of the fandom is that the greater popularity of Vocaloids has lead to more people picking up the software and making gems. The downside of this is that there's a lot of music, and other forms of content which pander to drooling masses which scroll on TikTok for 8 hours a day by having a short, catchy hook with an accompanying dance. The "TikTokification" of Vocaloids got so bad that a well-known producer, 32ki made a song about this phenomena and him being sick of feeling like a slave to algorithms

The oldfags from the fandoms left, as more oldfag larpers went to ship Miku (who is 16) with Teto (who is 31) because MUH HECKING YURI FANFICTIONERINO!!! (Ev&oe before that they just shipped Miku and Rin, albeit less than with Teto x Miku)
