A manchild is a term used to describe an adult^{(generally above 20)} who behaves in an immature or childish way despite their age.

Definitions

The term manchild originally did not mean an immature adult.
In Middle English, dating back to the late 14th century, it literally meant “a male child” or “boy.” Over time, especially in modern usage, its meaning shifted to describe a grown man who behaves immaturely or avoids adult responsibilities.

Womanchild

Despite the name implying it would only be male, a woman can be a womanchild, despite being used less frequently and isn't exactly a official “female equivalent” for “manchild”.

However there has been a concerning growing number of them in the past few years, notable examples are pooners.
