The site is currently in a "grace period" where only users can edit articles so that we can set things up in peace. This should end within a few days or so. Soyoyuki (talk) 14:22, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

CAPTCHA

by a schizophrenic mentally ill person.
A CAPTCHA (Computed Automated Public Turing test to teĺl Computers and Humans Apart), also known as a CRAPTCHA, is a response-based test used to verify if the operator is a human or a bot. Basic CAPTCHAs require you to type in the text that appears on the screen (usually distorted), or select a specific item that appears on the screen.
CAPTCHAs have been used on many imageboards, including soyjak.party and its splinters. It is basically a must if you don't want your website to be spammed and botted into oblivion. Some accuse the CAPTCHAs of datamining you to death, and some CAPTCHAs require that JavaScript is turned on.
Examples:
- reCAPTCHA
: Google's CAPTCHA system, which datamines you. On certain IPs and configurations, it takes longer while on trusted IPs it's shorter. - CapJS: CapJS is a better alternative to reCAPTCHA. It is fully open source and it uses a proof of work system.
- hCAPTCHA: Simpler (not really) CAPTCHA. It uses shitty 74p AI images for the CAPTCHA.
- Kikeflare: This CAPTCHA simply requires you to check a box. This is specifically used to prevent DDoS attacks, including to this very wiki, where Cloudflare splash screen loads. This BTFOs archivers, thoughever, this CAPTCHA activates more than 13 different fingerprinting techniques when you use it.
- Proof-of-Work: While this is not really a kind of CAPTCHA verification, it is still used to BTFO bots and spammers.
Imageboard engines
jschan
This CRAPTCHA requires you click on certain icons. It's broken as shit and doesn't even work most of the time, even with human output.
Main imageboards
4chan
4chan currently uses Cloudflare and an in house CAPTCHA where you have to match the shape. The CAPTCHA has been abused multiple times, including from the Pedoproxy, which required new rewrites of the CAPTCHA, and also forced users to wait 90 seconds (120 swconds for nu thread) before they can post. When you successfully post multiple times, the CAPTCHA gets easier. Depending on your browser and other shit, you may get "Posting from this IP range has been blocked due to abuse." Nowadays, it also requires mcl.io and spur.us to be unblocked due to mass waves of residential proxy spam.
Endchan
It uses a simple text CAPTCHA.
soyjak.party
The Sharty has historically used various CAPTCHA systems, such as reCAPTCHA, hCAPTCHA, McCAPTCHA, and the McChallenge.
Currently, soyjak.party uses an in-house CAPTCHA, the McCAPTCHA for posting, where you have to select a blurred Soyjak; the text is obfuscated. It is randomly toggled on and off, seemingly during periods of spam.
If you're on a nu IP address, you are required to solve a CAPTCHA before you can post. After making a post or two, the CAPTCHA disappears.
You can post on /q/ without needing to solve the CAPTCHA for some reason.
When you edit on the big 'ki logged out, it requires Cloudflare verification.
Sharty splinters
soyzellig.party
The Zarty uses an in-house CAPTCHA when you access certain parts of the website. Similar to the sharty McCAPTCHA, You'd need to click on the blurred ongezellig character according to the obfuscated text you need to write.
swedishwin.com
The Swinny currently uses CapJS for its verification. Originally, the site had no CAPTCHA at all, only being protected behind Clownflare.
Chinny
Chinny uses an hCAPTCHA system and PoW verification in a single page when accessing certain parts of the site or when you make a post.
shemmy.lol
It had an hCAPTCHA page similar to the Chinny but without the PoW CAPTCHA.
gigachads.fit
It used CapJS with a text "I am a gigachad"[it just did, okay?].
gigacha.de
Simple mathematical test.
slopjak.party
When the site was getting spammed by hostile offsiters, a reCAPTCHA was enabled, slowing down the spam completely.
NuFrogPond
It had a simple PoW CAPTCHA in its early days (sometimes it breaks), but when it started to be botted, a new CAPTCHA which required you to type in text was implemented.
