On July 18th, 2014, a hemp farmer named Gideon Abotsi from the village of Kpeyiborme in the Volta region of Ghana took a machete and slashed the head of his 3 year son Sitsofe over his wife refusing to have more children with him. Graphic images of the aftermath of the crime were taken and shared online, eventually circulating onto messageboards such as 4chan's /pol/ and /qa/ boards and eventually the sharty, the photo eventually became a meme and the child become known as the dead nigger baby. A dead website is often referred to as a dead nigger baby as a result.

The murder

On july 18th, 2014 at about 12:30 AM, gideon and his wife, Georgina sena ahiadeke had a dispute about having more children, Georgina had a firm stance on not having more children, partially because of the fact that they were struggling to take care of the 4 children they already had. While Georgina was visiting her mother, Gideon took his son to an area close to the neighbors house, put his head on a piece of wood (likely a tree root judging by the photos) and slashed his son's neck with a 12 inch machete, around the same size as a gun, after committing the crime, gideon tried to flee but was caught by local youth and tied up in ropes until the police arrived.

Prosecution and aftermath

He was arrested shortly afterwards and held in court, where it was said nobody in his family would speak on his behalf or defend him, he was held in police custody for 3 months (july-september) and was sent to jail until sometime in mid 2016, which was when he was released after being rowed by the ho district court, later, gideon was eventually murdered outside his house by his ex-wife's cousin.

Spread of the photo

after the murder, the photo was used as propaganda and was mistaken by several organization to be a photo from the ongoing conflict in the kivu region of the DRC, or a "witch doctor ritual" in some other SNCA 3rd world shithole, Since at least 2025, some xittercucks perform a trend to spam this particular image and other child gore into a literal who (usually a tranny)'s DMs. Xhey would post an image with an eye emoji (👀) pointing an arrow to DMs (or another video) to spam it and some other shit.

Lost media

unsurprisingly, many photos of this case have become lost media due to the incident taking place in a remote part of ghana, along with the fact that Archive.org was not archiving many of these photos properly or just deleting the photos due to containing child gore, there has also been rumors of a video although this is unconfirmed to have ever existed. However, the images that have been deleted, has been recovered and are now in the Gallery section below. It may not be all of them though. the exact location of kpeyiborme is also unknown.
