Tama was one of the unofficial mascots of Shemmy including Mameson, but the mascot of Shembooru. being inspired by 4chan's depiction of moot as a catgirl, and it was made by a drawfag named Jaikacuz.
She was originally just a 12-14yo girl cosplaying as a catgirl (so she's actually a human) but over time she was depicted as a aged-up catgirl for gooning purposes.
Tama is often used as a base for female characters because shartyshits can't come up with something original. (Gemma and Shrooma)
Is Tama Dead?
On August 30th, 2025, Jaikacuz would upload a video on his channel showing him killing Tama. You may watch the video here. The creator kills his creation, which makes it official. Tama is dead. Or is she really?
