A domain name is a string on the Internet which identifies a realm of possibilities and autonomous entities. In other words, it is what you type to go to a site like Soyjak.party and Google.com. They are used to identify websites, email addresses, and other social information. They are chartered in the {{Echoes|Domain Name System}}, and if a site falls under legal issues or somebody never renews the site, the site will go extinct, and it will be over.

There are 2 types of domain names,

The first is a TLD, or Top-level-domain. Tho is the .something you always see and have to type on Google Search or another form of searching. These are the most important as losing the domain to a site (via the domain provider terminating the DNS) might cause a site to go down for a few days, like in the case of [[zzzchan]]. There is also the SLD, or the name of the actual site. Some sites have SLD’s that are very different from their actual website name, like how the [[The Kuzzy|kuzzy]]’s website was at one point, https:board.10001mb.com/kuz. However since most SLD’s are about the same as the site’s name, we aren’t going to spend all day yapping about SLDs. We are going to talk about the most notable TLDs.

== .com ==
.com is the most widely used website name, often being used by Normies to refer to anu website because of how often it is used. It is not used often on Soysphere related websites due to being under complete jurisdiction of US law, and .com web hosters being somewhat jannyish as they have banned regular innocent sites like [[Zzzchan]] for having boards dedicated to laziness. .com is also partially responsible for the boom of the internet around 2002, as
quite a lot of new companies looking for profit started using .com. .com has faded over the years, with a sharp decrease in use around 2018-2019, but is still the most widely used TLD in the world.

It is owned by the “Public Interest Registry” which is the company that owns .org I guess. As long as you don’t violate any US laws this domain is free to go, it is often used by wikis for documenting sites .com wouldn’t let you cover, like the [[Jassy]] and [[Zelty]]. DO NOT GO ON JASSY AND ZELTY, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THIS SITE AND ALL OTHER SPLINTERS.

== .io ==
.io is a domain name (hosted by the [[Wikipedia:British Indian Ocean Territory|Indian Ocean Eternal Angloville]]) often used by skibidi toilet Brainrot posters and cheap video games to identify themselves. 50% of all .io holdings are either AI shit or video games. However, some notable sites like [[Soyjak.io]] and [[420chan|420chan.io]], have been somewhat IAS/Soyjak related. .io is pretty expensive, so most people go for either .com or .org.

== .city ==
.city is the official domain name of [[Wikipedia:New York City|New York City]]. It is not used often apart from New York, with the only two exceptions being [[Sidson.city]] and [[Sharty:Soyjak.city|Soyjak.city]].

== .win ==
.win is a top-level domain (TLD) name, which was designed for [[SNCA]] websites related to gaming, competitions, or anything associated with winning. It is memorable to some people, and can help businesses stand out in the online gaming community.

However, this domain is sometimes not used for what it is supposed to be, and is sometimes used for Soysphere splinters, just like how .party isn't used for actual parties, it is used for splinters. You can also search up ".win domain" and you can find a couple sites with the TLD, like DynaDot, Namecheap, Cloud{{Glowtext|FED}}, [[SNCA|name.com]], and almost every domain register.

The '''Swinny Smear Campaign''', also known as '''SCC''', is a campaign or "group" led by [[Quotecord]], with its goal being to ruin the [[Swedishwin.com|Swinny's]] reputation, mostly in attempts to stump their recent growth and falseflagging. It is theorized that [[Sharty Jannycord|quotecord]] is behind it, which is not surprising because it's obvious [[Sharty Jannycord|quotecord]] hates it.

==History==
On the [[Soybooru.com|SoyBooru]], multiple depictions of [[Swedishwin.com|Swinny]] users as pedophiles have appeared, in one case even {{Brimtext|depicting one as a Mexiaryan}}. This caused outrage, as it could be seen as promoting [[pedophilia]], causing the 6th Soysurgency.

In the middle of June, the [[Swedishwin.com|Swinny]] began to be mass spammed with {{Antimattertext|'P advertisements in threads}}, specifically spamming OnionLinks with {{Singularitytext|multiple 'P genres}}. Later the [[Swedishwin.com|Swinny]] would be spammed with multiple 8-digit gibberish characters, and mod.php was DDoSed. The spammer later mocked sweens with greentexts. For a brief period, the site had a gateway "Verifying your request" but the spam continued. It was reverted and caused 6 days of posts to be lost for a brief period of time, afterwards all the boards were locked for the time being, the next day all the posts were restored and all the boards were unlocked.

Some vichan features were broken as a result of this.

The thread itself while it was still alive (and unlocked) was slightly being derailed, but swedes re-railed the thread and kept on going. Some schizo would also allege that a British pedophile by the name of Alexander Kyle Dunn is actually Quote, however no proof has yet been provided.
